What is the Canada-Manitoba Job Grant?

The Canada-Manitoba Job Grant provides funding to employers or self-employed persons to help cover the cost of training their employees (new or existing) or themselves to meet business needs, and to provide Manitobans with skills.

Get pre-approved ASAP:

Once it opens, you can submit your Wrapture Beauty Academy receipt(s) for courses or programs you take. Get your application pre-approved, including the amount you will be reimbursed for! Whether it’s a course you took this month or one you are registered for later, you should apply on the day the grant opens! Although you must submit the application yourself, we can help you complete your initial application with only the info needed for pre-approval. 

Why you need to prepare your application today:

Eligible training dates are indicated when they open.  It may include past and future courses you are registered for within these dates. HOWEVER, this grant is known to run out within a few days or weeks of opening. Be ready to fill in and submit your application ASAP to apply for pre-approval as soon as the grant opens!

How much reimbursement is available?

For self-employed persons:

• Self-employed applicants can apply for training for themselves if they have an active business number. Obtaining a business number is easier than you think! Click here for a step-by-step guide.
• Self-employed applicants are eligible for reimbursement of up to 75% of eligible costs up to $10,000 per person.
• Important: Send in your application ASAP when the grant opens before the grant amount runs out! 

For small businesses:

• Small companies with 100 or fewer employees can apply for up to 75% of eligible training costs.
• Employers can apply for up to a maximum amount of $10,000 per employee (training participants only).
• Maximum Job Grant reimbursement amount regardless of the number of trainees and cost of training is $100,000.

There is a limited amount of funding for this grant, and this amount may run out soon after the grant opens. Don’t wait. Take advantage of this opportunity as soon as it opens!  

What costs are eligible for funding?

• Your course fees at Wrapture Beauty Academy
• Any required materials if not included in your registration 

Who is an eligible training participant?

• Employees (or self-employed applicants) must be citizens or permanent residents of Canada
• Full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees or self-employed owners of businesses
• Unemployed persons and persons seeking training to get a new job
• Employees who reside in another province, but are working in Manitoba are eligible

How and when will I get the actual payment of the Job Grant?

• Payments are made once all training has been completed and reporting requirements are met.
• Employers or self-employed persons are required to report on their actual training costs and completion. Employers or self-employed persons must submit the following:

Training Plan Report + Training Evaluation (this is all located in tabs on the application document to make it easy!)  + Proof of payment of eligible training costs. We can help you with all of this!

What can I immediately do to get this going?

Simply prepare the information for the application to get ready to fill in the form and submit it for pre-approval as soon as the grant opens!

Generally, the form asks for the following information:

• Your contact information
• Your business information (you can obtain a business number easily if you don’t already have one)
• A few sentences on how your new skills will benefit your business
• The name of your course (or program) + start and end dates
• Your cost + receipt
