Attendance Policy

This policy is subject to and compliant with The Private Vocational Institutions Act, Canada Student Financial Assistance Act, the Student Aid Act (Manitoba) and the regulations made under the Acts.

Attendance, Lateness and Absences

Wrapture Beauty Academy is committed to ensuring graduates consistently exemplify excellent esthetic skills and professional conduct. Employers anticipate that our alumni will be skilled and dependable. Achieving this standard is closely linked to consistent student attendance throughout the program. Consequently, Wrapture Beauty Academy mandates adherence to the attendance requirements stipulated by both the academy and The Private Vocational Institutions Act. Failure to meet these attendance criteria may result in student dismissal.

At Wrapture Beauty Academy, we want students to receive the best training experience by having an excellent attendance record. Students within some of our programs will be assigned work that they are required to complete on their own as well as virtual training sessions that they must attend. These are delivered by an educator to advance their learning. We want our students to be present and take full responsibility for their learning by having perfect attendance whether they are attending in the classroom, learning virtually, or following the assigned work given.

Maintaining an exemplary attendance record is also important for establishing a positive professional reputation. Promptness and regular presence at your workplace are quickly noted and play a significant role in your career advancement. Establishing positive habits throughout your program is another key strategy we employ to lay the groundwork for your future success. Should you need to be absent for any reason, it is imperative to inform the school via phone or email regarding your absence before the start of any missed class.

Students who exceed an absence rate of 10% of their course attendance may be required to retake specific sections of the course, contingent upon the recommendation of their educators. The determination of whether a student must partially repeat a course will be guided by the educators’ evaluations concerning the impact of missed attendance on the student’s academic performance. In instances where excessive absences hinder a student’s advancement through their program, students may be advised to retake the lessons, tests, or quizzes missed to ensure their academic success.

As with the attendance policy, our goal is to help students appreciate the importance of regular and timely attendance. Students who are regularly late will be marked as regularly absent after the 5th time they are late for a lesson. If a student is late 5 times or more, they will need to make up for this missed time. Students who are more than 10 minutes late to a class will not be permitted to disrupt the class with a late entry until the lunch hour.
