If you’re ready to start your beauty career, our diploma programs provide the training to offer the widest range of beauty services! Already an esthetician? Our specialty certificate courses are the perfect way to expand your expertise. Here’s how diploma and certificate courses differ:

Diploma Programs

In Manitoba, most beauty services can only legally be provided by estheticians. If you’re not an all-services esthetician, you are able to offer treatments covered under your esthetician sub-trade—either Nail Technician or Skin Care Technician.

Our diploma programs provide the perfect pathway into the beauty industry. With your diploma, you can apprentice and offer services covered in your training. After completing your apprenticeship and passing the post-apprenticeship exam, you’ll earn your license, allowing you to freelance or work at any beauty business.

Certificate Courses

There are also two specialty beauty services you can offer in Manitoba without being an esthetician, skin tech, or nail tech:

We offer certificate courses for both, delivered in a hybrid format—combining online theory with in-person training. In contrast, diploma programs require in-person theory and practicum.

Already an esthetician? Take your career further! We offer specialty certificate courses designed to expand your skills and increase your opportunities. Choose from courses in a hybrid or fully online format.

Should I take a Diploma Program?

Our certificate courses allow you to add to your esthetician career based on your interests. You can immediately start offering your new service as soon as you complete your certificate requirements (and within your province’s guidelines for offering beauty services). This is a favourite option for estheticians expanding their service menu.

Our diploma programs are an excellent choice if you starting a career in the beauty industry.
